Welcome to Flagship Run Poland
Poznań is located in the Wielkopolska region, on the Warta River. The city’s most famous landmarks are the Renaissance old town and the cathedral on the island of Ostrów Tumski. It’s one of Poland’s oldest and biggest cities with about 550,000 residents. Over the years, it has become a centre of trade, sports, technology, tourism and education. Poznań-based universities, such as the Adam Mickiewicz University or the Poznań University of Technology, gather a community of about 130,000 students in total. The history of the city is incredibly rich and dates back to centuries before the Christianisation of Poland, when Ostrów Tumski, an island located between the Warta and Cybina rivers, was an important cultural and political centre of the country. Already since the Middle Ages, Poznań has been the administrative centre of the region.
Traditionally, the participants of the run escape from a mobile “finish line”, while their loved ones wait for them in the start zone, following the competition on big screens and creating an impressive fan zone. Since the first edition of the run, the number of participants has increased from 1,000 to 8,000! From year to year, the starting list is always full and the limit is reached way before the race date.
May in Poland is the most beautiful month of the year, because everything is blooming. The average temperature in Poznań fluctuates between 15 and 20 degrees Celsius.
The run kicks off on May 4, 2025 at 1:00 pm local time. Get ready for the stunning views, cheering supporters, and amazing atmosphere!
